| All craft wood blanks are sold for the purposes of altered art and craft projects. They are suitable for painting, staining, collaging, stamping, covering with paper and fabric and for use with proprietary craft mediums.Craft wood blanks are not guaranteed free from normal wood defects such as small splits or shakes, although we will always fill any obvious areas prior to shipping. Wood is a natural material and as such it "breathes" and can expand or contract - for this reason, all wood products may require some light sanding or filling to prepare the surface before use. Items that come with hinges/clasps - the hardware pre-fitted on these products is not brilliant. This is reflected in the price of these items as craft blanks, rather than the higher price you would pay for a hardwood or finished product. All hinges and clasps are checked before despatch to ensure they work, but no further guarantees are given. We recommend that you change the hardware if you need something more robust. |
