Please read these terms and conditions carefully and check back from time to time for any changes, as using or purchasing from our website means you agree to them.

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, but do not affect your statutory rights.

  • Sorry, but we are unable to take telephone orders or payments over the phone. All orders must be placed through our website and you can pay by credit or debit card, Paypal or BACs (bank transfer). This enables us to offer a seamless, secure and efficient service. When you order online you are typing your own address label and securely processing your own payment transaction (please see Secure Payments for more information). Our system automatically downloads your order, adjusts the stock levels, creates your address label, picking list and sales receipt - we pick the order, pack it and despatch it - simples!
  • We make every effort to ensure that the prices displayed on our website are accurate. However, we reserve the right to validate all prices before we process your order. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or canceling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled.
  • We make every effort possible to ensure that all products on our website are described accurately, however we are only human and occassionally a mistake may occur. We cannot accept any liability for descriptive errors beyond correcting the error as soon as we are aware of it.
  • Illustrations and descriptions of products are provided as a guide and all product measurements are approximate. Descriptions such as "gold", "silver", "diamond" refer to the colour and not to precious metals or gemstones.
  • Please read the full product descriptions and any additional information provided by clicking the "More Info" button against each product to ensure you are making an informed purchase. You can Contact Us prior to making any purchase should you need clarification or further information, we are always happy to help.
  • When placing an order, you are making an offer to purchase the goods contained within that order. We reserve the right to accept or decline that offer. Your order is deemed to have been accepted at the point when it is processed ready for despatch. An order despatched email will be sent and at this point, a contract will exist between us.
  • You can pay by Visa, MasterCard, Switch, Solo or Delta through our secure payment processer (Sellerdeck Payments). You can also pay by Paypal (you do not need a Paypal account), or by BACs (Bank Transfer through your on-line banking or over a bank counter).
  • All orders placed on our website are security checked by the respective card issuer against their records. If your payment fails any aspect of the security checks, we will contact you by email for further information. If you do not respond to this email within 3 business days, the payment will be voided and the order cancelled.
  • All prices are displayed in UK pounds and are inclusive of VAT at the current rate. If you do not pay VAT (see QUESTIONS for a list of qualifying countries) this will be automatically deducted from your order before you pay.
  • If you ask us to add delivery instructions to your order requesting that your order is left on your property or with another person (such as a neighbour) we will follow your instructions as a matter of courtesy but once your parcel has been despatched we cannot be held responsible for it beyond this point.
  • Royal Mail delivers the vast majority of UK parcels promptly within 1 to 5 days following dispatch (depending on the shipping method chosen). We cannot be held liable for any loss caused to you by delayed delivery. For further information regarding shipping methods and delivery times, please see our QUESTIONS page.
  • Should you discover a picking error with your order, or if your order is damaged in transit, please Contact Us within 7 working days of receipt of your order. We cannot correct picking errors or damages after this time period has passed.
  • If you do not receive your order within 15 working days (UK) - 28 working days (international) - from the date of despatch, please Contact Us. Working days are counted by Royal Mail and couriers as Monday to Friday. We will offer to refund or replace your order. We will assume your order has been received in satisfactory condition if we do not hear from you after 20 working days (UK) - 33 working days (international). Claims for lost parcels cannot be made after this time.
  • Parcels returned as not called for or undeliverable because of address errors will be refunded less an administration charge to cover the actual original p&p; cost and our card handling fees.
  • We make no guarantee that our website is free from viruses or other infecting programs although every attempt is made to ensure that it is not. We ensure that our website is hosted with a reputable UK company that uses the most up to date and robust hardware and software.
  • All project ideas used on our website are copyright to their original creator. Calico Crafts Design Team projects on this website and our blog are copyright to Calico Crafts Ltd and the individual designer and may not be copied or reproduced without permission. Project ideas not created by our own design team will only be used as provided by or made available by the manufacturer of those products. If you feel we have used a project idea in error, please let us know.

Returns Information

We want you to receive products that you are happy with and that are suitable for your requirements as we understand how costly and time consuming it is to take parcels back to the post office for a return.

The easiest way to avoid having to return products that you're not happy with is to ensure you understand what you are ordering - please do not make assumptions and always read the full product descriptions and any additional information provided by clicking the "More Info" button. We provide as much information as possible to ensure you are making an informed purchase.

You are always welcome to Contact Us prior to ordering to ask any questions, we are always happy to help.

We cannot refund return postage if you state a product is defective when it is not because you have not followed this advice.

We are happy to promptly refund you for the value of any returned product provided it is returned to us in resaleable condition within 30 days of purchase. Simply Contact Us for a Returns Form and follow the instructions (mystery returns cause confusion and delays!).

Any products returned must be in resaleable condition and we will refund you for their value within 30 days of receipt in accordance with the EU Distance Selling Directive. However, we always aim to process any refund due with a maximum of 2 working days of receipt. As our outgoing p&p charges are heavily subsidised, we're sorry but we cannot refund return p&p costs.

If you have received damaged goods or an incorrect item in your order, we will offer you a refund or a replacement. If the error was ours, we will refund any reasonable postage costs you incur in returning an item to us (should we request you to do so). Damaged or faulty items must be reported within 7 days of receipt - please keep all packaging materials until we have investigated the reason for the damage.

Under the terms of the EU Distance Selling Directive, you also have a 7 day cooling off period from the day you receive your order. During this time you can change your mind and cancel your entire order. You must contact us inside the 7 day period by email to let us know that you want to cancel your order and we will email you a Returns Form. When we receive your order back in resaleable condition, we will issue you with a full refund of your original order. As our outgoing p&p charges are heavily subsidised, we're sorry but we cannot refund return p&p costs.

The EU Distance Selling Directive does not apply to B2B (Business to Business) transactions - even if you are only making small orders at home for resale. Please ensure you are ordering correctly - you have every opportunity to enquire about any product prior to placing your order to ensure the product(s) you are ordering are suitable and correct for your needs.
